Old UK Criminal record - Residency in Morocco

I have noticed that questions about criminal records usually go unanswered, but can someone with experience/knowledge please state whether having an old criminal record (e.g. in the UK) can have a big effect on applying for Carte Sejour (Moroccan residency status).

The offense in my case was a low-level conviction for cannabis from 12+ years ago, no prison, only community service conviction.

Hello, Law let the appreciation of the decision to police which are not strict if you are not a threat to the security of the country. It will also be impacted by the kind of residency you are asking(employee, retired or owner of company).
