Hi All. I am new to this group so if I do something wrong, please let me know. We currently live in UK (both Saffas). We are on my Ancestral Visa but wish to take advantage of the Remote Working Retirement Visa. We hope to make the move Jan-March 2023. I will probably be asking lots of questions, so please be patient with me.  We are both in our late 50's.

just as a first info: remote worker visa (premium visa) and retirement visa are two different things.
premium visa super easy to get, valid for a year, free of charge and renewable
retirement visa also not hard to get but more paperwork - plus: you can't work under this scheme.
all info easy to find on the official website

all the best

@atubugah  Thanks very much. My main concern was safety but it does not seem to be a problem. Apparently the Remote Working Visa for Retirement will perhaps only come into Law around September (This is the visa that you need to deposit $1500 int MAU bank and then earn $18000 per annum or $1500 per month which we can attain. (if you could advise me on this). I also, need to know if we will get free medical help while in MAU and what about my chronic meds as I am Diabetic and also on Blood Thinners as is Adrian. I see as the Dependant on his visa, I may not work in MAU but I suppose I will be allowed to do online work for USA/UK etc. We would like to be close to a nice beach as Adrian loves fishing but would also like to be semi rural as long as it is safe and internet is pretty good for remote working. (we renting). Which areas are cheapest but safe to rent. We would need a 1-2 bedroom Ground Floor House/Villa/Cottage/Apartment to have outside space for barbeque. Can you recommend good Agents and do we pay a fee for that. I see some you don't others you don't.We will try purchase a car in the first month we are there, for transport to shops etc. Does MAU have wine in 3 or 5 litre boxes as we have in UK and SA? Which are the cheapest yet good shops to purchase groceries/meat etc. Are we allowed open fire barbeque (SA braai) and do the shops sell bagged wood and charcoal? Sorry for millions of questions. Coming from UK, can we apply for the visa's from UK although on SA passport with the right to live in UK. Do you know how long these visa's take to process as we need to time our move very well. Is Pork, Beef, Mince, Chicken readily available? Can you advise a cheap clothes shops as we will need to get more "summer" clothes as we have more winter clothes in UK due to weather.
Thanks and again, sorry for millions of questions.

@dirk_nomad Thanks a ton. We got a notification of a "new" Retiree (over 50) Remote Worker Visa where you have to put $1500 into a MAU account and have proof of $18000 per annum going into that account. Hope I am not confusing myself here. I am aware of the Premium Visa for remote workers but I am concerned about the renewal. What info do they want regards renewing? (hope you don't mind me picking your brain a bit). Also, which one is easier regards documents as my Partner will be the remote worker and they asking for his BC which he has misplaced or left in SA maybe and the length of time to try and get it is approximately 3-6 months and we want to be there by 1/3/2023. How long do both Visa's take to process. I have read up on the Premium Visa but my concern, again, is the renewal for only a year maybe. We would really like to have the option of residency (can you get it on the Premium Visa). Your help would absolutely be appreciated.

Regards and again, many thanks
