Extend a student visa for 7 days

Hi I’d like to know if we can extend a student visa (trainee) to a tourist visa for only 8 days. My friend stayed 3 months and wants to stay one week for holiday . Thanks!

Hi,

Not sure if a student visa can be converted to a tourist visa.

I would recommend you check with the Passport and Immigration Office in Mauritius to see if an extension of some kind can be granted to your friend.

You can contact the Passport & Immigration Office. You might get your tourist visa or they might just be lenient and allow you to stay for the additional days - provided that you have a confirmed return ticket already booked. It is at the discretion of the officer.
