Hello everyone, hope am not disturbing. Here i am again with my questions but i need some help please. Since march of this year we have applied for our civil wedding and till now we are still waiting...civil office have no return from PM office and we are block. My partner can't work from here. We are desperate we dont know how much longer it will take. Has anyone been in same case or is waiting as us ? Thank you.

Hello, I don't understand why your fianc茅 can't work here. He just needs to apply for a work visa in the meantime.

I'm not an expert on this. But a friend of mine coming from HK has been working here for about 3 years with a work visa. I don't know how frequently he needs to renew his work visa. I believe your fianc茅 can work with the proper visa while waiting for your wedding approval. I heard that weddings here, you need to make an announcement in the newspaper, have you done that yet? If not, perhaps that's the reason you haven't got the approval. Again, I'm not an expert on this. Good luck!

Hello thank you for your reply i was getting desperate. So he can't work as he works abroad and he is from europe, also why he can't work is because he is here on a wedding visa which does not allow him to work. About announcement in newspapers never heard about it and civil officer never mention it. We are waiting for the prime minister's office to give validation to our application to be able to go on next step which is publishing etc. But since march we are here waiting forever...thank you very much for your help Pandora.
