Hi there, does anyone know what the license requirements are for expats who want to ride a motorcycle?

Hi Francois, as i work in the logistic industry, please note that your motorcycle should not exceed more that 1 year old. You also need an import permit and if motorcycle is new, mileage should be Zero. You will need a SARCO certificate (if coming from South Africa) very important. Please note that motorcycle that is more than 1 year old, it is strictly not allowed.

I just know that if you know how to ride but don't have a license you can go to the related office and do the test and they will give you the license... nothing really weird, just normal documents to prove that you are living there

@Francois du Toit you can use your driving license issued in your country, just be sure that the registration of the motorcycle and the insurance are still valid.
