Making a will for owned property in Mauritius

Dear All

I need to make a will about a property which we have in Mauritius.

Does anyone know if the will has to be made in Mauritius or can I do it in the UK ?

Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

You can do either but it is probably a good idea to make sure someone has a copy in UK & Mauritius. Apparently both Deeds & Wills are recognised here but there are some laws to be aware of (succession law for kids)

@chandraw if it concerns properties in Mauritius, it needs to be done in Mauritius through a Notary.

Our Dad left a written instruction(who gets what) regarding

some properties in Mauritius. It was not notorised.

Is it valid?

Can you recommend a good Notary in Mauritius?
