Tripoli on Sunday for a week

deargas

Hi all,

Been having a good nosey around this forum for a week now trying to suss out the local scene.

I'm arriving in Tripoli on Sunday for a week and would love to find a few 'locals' to pass away the evenings after work.

I'm into sports, most things really, basketball, soccer, rugby, tennis squash. If it involves sweating, I'm up for it most probably.
Except running, well maybe at a stretch. I must be a dog personality, give me a ball and I'll chase after it all day, tell me to run 5 miles and, well, I'd take a bit of convincing.

I can see it suits the Irish way of life down to a tee, lots of socializing, plenty of folks to chat with, beer, partys the lot ;)

Anyone want some Tayto's in exchange for some local knowledge ;)

Lol, good luck on the wine, that sounds like just the right amount. I haven't been given an itenary yet detailing where I'm staying, but assume it will be central hotel.

Social scene sounds good, if somewhat 'gated', but I suppose needs must. I wouldn't like to be trying to date from the sounds of it.
