Car insurance in Kenya

JL Alexander

I have lived on and off in Kenya for nearly 14 years. I have been involved in two accidents, only body panels damages. Both accidents, I was not responsible. The last one, I got caught between two matatus at a police check point, the matatu behind me couldn’t stop in time, hit my car behind and threw me into the other matatu. The police abstract mentions clearly that I am on the offended side. I have done everything required legally, expertise, quotation from the dealership etc. When I brought the complete file to the mat insurance, they explained to me that i had to have the repairs done, then submit the repaired car to their expert (🤔) and eventually, if I sue them to court, I might have a chance to recover my expenses.
