Moving to Accra with a toddler

My husband got a job offer in Accra, but we are really having problems to make a decision, specially because of our 18 months old daughter.聽 Is health really an issue?
We have eventually though about my husband going alone and me and the baby staying in Europe. Are we just freaking out?
I would like to know about your experiences, and all in all how is it daily life in Accra.

There are lots of expat families here and obviously there are health problems but in Accra if you take precautions your child should be safe.
I suggest you consult a doctor about the vaccinations necessary and any medication you need to bring with you. There are reasonable medical facilities here, with doctors who are probably more aware of the signs and symptoms which might lead to problems
