bank in Ghana for expats

Hello everyone,

I'm about to move to Ghana in a couple month for a whole year. I'd like to know if it is necessary to open a bank account in Ghana or if it is possible to use my own french card there ? It seems to be cheaper for me to keep my french one while I am in Ghana but I'm not sure it is confortable .

There are ATMs here so you should be able to withdraw cash from them. You will need to be based in Accra or another big centre as you won't find them everywhere. We hosted a Canadian girl and she was able to access her money without any problems.
