anyone know the process and fees and what shipping company to use?

Have anyone done it before? i am buying an old car, made in 1970 mercedez there and want to find out how to ship it here to Miami port from Cairo

I imported a 1982 Peugeot from Morocco last year, and yeah, it鈥檚 quite the process but very doable if you get the paperwork right. You must ensure the car meets U.S. import rules, especially for something old. Mine was over 25 years old and exempt from EPA and DOT standards, but customs still checked everything closely. Also, Cairo to Miami is a long haul, so container shipping is probably safer for a vintage car like yours.

To handle it, I worked with this company that handles shipping cars from Egypt to the USA: They walked me through customs and helped me find the correct port schedules. The price wasn鈥檛 terrible either.
