Hey guys!
I'm going to work in Egypt and the embassy gave me a tourist visa for 3 months, telling me that I should apply for a work visa when I come to Egypt. They told me to go to Mogama3 el Tahrir working office on third floor. I'm going to send a friend there to ask them all the questions i have, BUT what's the name of the department there?? And does anyone knows their number, so I can call them???

If you will apply for a vorking permit, than the company where you will be working should do the paperwork. You will be required some blood analises and eventually your signature. Anyway, in Mogamma every casier have written on top for wich services it is, so is not that hard to find it, or even you can ask there for directions.

Thank u so much! 'Cause i've heard that i can't start working until i have a work visa.. Even though I've heard of people who work with a tourist visa... That's why i got confused

You can work with a tourist visa but your company should start the procedure as soon as possible, if a control occurs to your workplace you can be even deported to your home country if you dont have a working permit. Be aware of those company who does not make you a working permit. It is dangerous for you. But i am sure you know all this by now. Anyway, good luck in your new job.

In mogamma no phone numbers as I go there usually!
Its just a piece of cake when your friend goes he/she shall go to the first floor as I remember last time I went from two weeks then at the right side its for nationalities and ect.. Plus visa applications and it easy nowadays

Yes you can work in Egypt even on tourist visa no issues at all. I worked for 6 months on this visa status. As far as work permit is concerned your company is suppose to get all the paper work done as they will be requiring company registration papers and all so its completely out of your hand however you will be requiring to go one or two time as they want to see the person before providing the visa . You will be needing HIV test for the process. In any case do not forget to take with you someone who can speak ARABIC at Moghama else it will be a mission impossible for you to make them understand what you want and same goes for them
