Rule #1  Keep your body alkalized - when traveling it's easy to eat processed food and sugary drinks .. increasing the acidic levels in your body, which depletes oxygen and blocks good detoxification. Drinking water can help, but you'd be surprised how most water is highly acidic if you text it with ph strips for example. Bring some ionized mineral drops to boost alkaline ph, or grab a lemon to squeeze into your drink. Even though lemons are acidic by nature, they actually alkalize the body when metabolized.

More later on tensing the body while traveling to keep up a strong lymphatic system for systematic detoxing (the lymph system doesn't have a pump like the heart for the circulatory system, and depends on physical movement for functioning well!)

Also look for breathing and energetic tips to keep you upbeat at home and abroad!

Hello,

Eating healthy, and keeping fit is of course always good.

I don't really want to get into the details here, but this "body pH" interpretation seems quite simplistic. With healthy, unburdened kidneys and liver, blood pH is wonderfully regulated.

I just wanted to point out acidity in most bottled water you'll be measuring is the carbonic acid, you know, from the dissolved carbon dioxide...

It's simplistic because it's a short post, though it still holds true. Unburdened kidneys and liver, well you don't find this very often in those who eat a high content of highly acidic foods such as overly processed foods, sugary soda, and so on. My point was intended to be simple and simply helpful.

I actually had to post a few things for my account to be activated again. So I posted on a topic that I'm well versed in, but without writing a book of all the nuances :)

I'm currently drinking about 2 litres of water a day with a little orange or blackcurrant squash.  That's healthy isn't it?  Just trying to lose a bit of weight after all the Chritmas festivities so gym, diet and drinking loads of water.  (-:

OK, sure, whatever makes people live more healthy :-)

All I'm saying is don't waste pH strips on carbonated water, you exhale the CO2 :-)

Just orange, squash and water? Has that combo worked for you before?

You are no doubt detoxing with the limited substance you are taking in (with less metabolizing food your energy reserves can look to a new project of pulling toxins out of tissues where they may been stored away.)

On top of that -  going to the gym creates additional cellular waste ... might be kind of taxing on the system, no?

But if it's worked for you before and you are in great shape already ... you'll certainly achieve your aim of getting rid of that Christmas excess!

BTW, why did you choose the combo of orange and blackcurrant squash?
