do you know where are you going to?

aabie ryan

yesterday,i visited a foundation named YKAKI or Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (Indonesian Care for Cancer Kids Foundation).
i did what i used to do..

but something different happened yesterday, when a young girl (around 8 years old) climbed onto my lap..and...

girl : aabie, are you afraid to die?
meÌý Ìý: ummm...i dunno..lil bit..(i got a slap on my face cuz of her question)...what is die after all?
girl : oohh..you are grown ups!die is like a trip..moving to the other place..
meÌý Ìý: ahh..i see..
girl : most of the people..afraid to die..but i'm not...well, you will not afraid to die if you know where are you going to..like i told you,it's like a trip..it will be fun...and my mother said..a good girl will go to a good place while the naughty will not...so, because i think i have been a good girl and i'm not angry to God because of this cancer, even though i lost all my hair because of that..i will go to a good place..so i'm not afraid to die,,it will be a nice trip..
meÌý Ìý: ............... (i just hug her..)
girl : aabie..do you know where are you going to?

frankly..i haven't answer the question yet, till i have a shocking news 15 minutes ago, from the girl's mother..
"she didn't make it,aabie..."

and the following text, also from the girl's mother "
"we found a post-it notes with your name in it"

and now..i'm still wondering...where am i going to?

how about you? do you know where are you going to?``

OH Aabie, I feel so sorry for you and also relieved that this young girl was not afraid for dying and she knows where she's going to.

One thing is for sure: nobody is returnd from the death and nobody could tell you.
Unless you have a strong believe in your religion.

life here on earth is just temporary, life after death is the true life promised by our one and only God. We are made by him and to him we shall return. Believe in Allah(swt)and he shall bring you in paradise. Inshallah.

Unless it's obvious.
I was a total dog up to the point of becoming a Muslim.
I smashed 9 out of 10 commandments, adultery several times (the most fun one to break), so don't expect to go anywhere nice when my body finally breaks down.
I know it's said you are forgiven previous sins when you enter Islam but the boss dude will have to ignore a lot when he sees me in the queue.

Hi Aabie,

What an incredibly touching story... it brought tears to my eyes. But it's so true that children, especially children with serious and terminal illnesses have a whole different outlook on life than we adults do. I guess it's their innocence and it's too bad that we seem to lose it somewhere along the journey to adulthood.

I live my life following the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Like that little girl I am not angry at God for anything that is wrong with my life.

Just like her, I hope that one day I too will be going to that good place and it will be a nice trip. Who knows? Anyway I hope so and that one day I will meet that little girl too and she'll be perfect in every way, including having all her beautiful hair back. Then I will smile and say, "I already know you because Aabie told me all about you."

I'm not afraid of dying because I'm old now, you tend to lose some of the fear as you get old....... but I still don't know for certain where I'm going, I can only guess.

don't worry this goes to whom who understand this, and to those who don't just respect.

Wow i thought the story that started this conversation was a nice one, however as i read along it makes me sad to read that the meaning of the story has left and another one has come into play.

Religion is just a word, what each of us believe in makes no difference, God, Buddha or Ala.

If you notice in all religions it says the same thing its just written differently.

What we believe in is in out hearts where ever we go or who we pray to is each to their own......

i respect your belief.

There is one thing no one can deny what ever his/her beliefs or ethics.. We are all From Ash to Ash..Ìý

Either you believe in God / AllAh or not you would die as no creature can escape that end and your body would be buried and after years of decaying it would be ashes again and if you are Buddhism for example your dead body would be burned till it be come ashes. so what ever you do in your life your physical body would end the same..

However according to your ethics, religion and beliefs what after death differs due to your work and action in life..between Eden or Hell..no one know or can get a grantee where his/her actions would take him/her through .. but as most ethics believes in life after death then we all must do our best to get the best..

I wish i had summarized every thing is an easy paragraph.
