I have.

It's pretty much rubbish- just like the other AI stuff.

It's fine for basics and trying to write an essay when your skills are limited, but don't ask it for serious information.

As for anything negative about the Chinese government, it refuses to answer

I would like a keyword search without AI inanity.

I have used AI for a number of things. One particular task saves me hours of work as AI is especially good at creating certain types of things that have strict parameters.

When it comes to digging out data, it spews out whatever it finds on the internet as fact.

My final use is to get past a mental block. I ask AI to complete the task, then use its suggestions as a starting point.

Google changed their old image search to AI - it no longer works

Google use AI to give voice directions on Google maps - The instructions are so bad I moved to Waze for navigation.

Whatsapp has 2 ways to access AI, but one covers message notifications - Zuckerberg's team are pushing their rubbish so I simply ignore it. However, the old search box is now AI so I'm stuck with that.

Apart from AI being generally crap and pointless for most internet users, it's going to change the way new generations see the world. Thinking skills aren't dead, but they will be.

Fred

Hang on. Whatsapp messages are scanned by Zukky's AI every time you search.

WA messages are encrypted, but who can access the AI?

@Fred

What sort of work do you do that is amenable to today's AI?

Aidan in HCMC

It's certainly evolving.

I asked Google's Gemini AI this just a couple of months ago...

Yes, I've heard about DeepSeek! How's your experience with it so far?

GuestPoster6669

I tried both AI offerings and they are garbage.

IT is a scam. I worked in the industry for 6 years. Just look around at Apple and Microsoft and you'll undetstand.

AI is merely a web browser reformatted to appear like human interaction with the preferred solution selected by the elites offered as the recommended answer. It's brain washing for the next generation of NPC characters spawned by unemployed **** collecting UBI from the state.

The truth hurts......eh ?? You do realise you've made my point by censoring the post.

I know this is late. Deepseek is my favorite so far. Answers are very comprehensive.

I have to disagree.

Apart from serious inaccuracies, that version of AI shows answers that suggest government control, or at least operations that are very sensitive to what might be politically unwelcome.

I'm unimpressed with AI for any task that attempts to replace solid research as it makes far too many errors to be of much use, but it's worse when it's censored.

Web browser vs deep language model. You know little about AI. Ever hear of language interaction models?

I am very happy with DeepSeek as well. However, I don't ask it political questions, but practical stuff that would take me forever to investigate on the Internet. It can be very helpful analysing DTAs and it is decent with medical questions as well. From me a "thumbs up" for DeepSeek.

@TGCampo

The problem is that you can not always split politics from medical questions, Covid is a very clear example.  Even medical questions need to be answered politically correct, and here Chinese interference is not worse than Biden interference, as even Zuckerberg admitted after Biden was gone.  So if MAID ("medical assistance in dying" in other words getting rid of the people that are not considered useful for whoever is in power) will be pursued, many answers to curable illnesses may change.  In Canada MAID is being pushed on everybody already.

So please be careful with medical answers as well.

We know the left PC bias of most USA AIs and pro-government Chinese bias of deepseek. I would imagine grok is not left wing biased like the others as it is a Musk project. I haven't tried grok yet but my son's opinion is that it is better than deepseek, his previous favorite. However, it is a waste of time with these AIs discussing politics or historical events which relate to current politics. That's not really their string point. Don't discuss Tiannenman Square with deepseek of it will cut you off.

If you take covid as an example of a medical topic not suitable for AI, I would have to agree. But most other medical topics are not political, not until the next WHO-controlled pandemic anyway. I have gotten useful information from deepseek and chatgpt on medical issues but no substitute for a living doctor, yet.
