How to select an apartment for rent in San Miguel by SabraIsComing
Hi. I tried to find a realtor to help get the process of finding a new home going but it is frustrating. May as well just jump right in. Anybody know a good apartment community of expats there in San Miguel?

Its been my experience so far that anywhere with a high expat population has higher rents. I knew of a couple who were paying 1,000 USD a month for a 2 bedroom furnished apartment in the city of Oaxaca. Ridiculous. I was paying 5000 pesos a month ... Read More

Safety in the USA by Christine
Hi, We would like to talk about a sensitive but important topic: do you feel safe in the USA? How would you define the level of safety in the country? Can you walk safely during the day and at night without any fear? Do you think there ...

I'm not saying there's no crime in Mexico, far from that. And I'm certainly not comparing the crime in the US to the crime in Mexico. I certainly have no intention of visiting or living near the frontera nor living in any of the crime ... Read More

So let me put something into perspective for you. This is especially for people for whom violence has never touched their lives. I lived in a quiet, mostly peaceful city in Florida for close to 20 years. In March of 2010 in Clearwater, FL my son ... Read More

I live in Queretaro, this city reminds me of any mid-sized city in the US or Canada. I've been here for a few months and take the same precautions that I would if I was in the US or Canada. I also lived in Oaxaca de Juarez for a few months, ... Read More
